A cheese plate is a great addition to a holiday table. Virtually no prep time, visually pleasing, and almost entirely carb-free. If you are going the French route, why not choose France’s favorite cheeses? According to la Fédération Nationale des Producteurs Laitiers in France, these are le top:

Wine pairings for this dreamy cheese plate? Any of these will do: Pouilly Fumé, Saint Pourcin, Rhône valley wines, Bordeaux or Médoc wines (Pomerol, Saint Emilion, Saint Estephe), Montrachet, Bouzy or Chianti.

Don’t forget the black cherry jam, figs and crackers. Grapes are also an obvious if predictable choice.

Cheers!
